My husband and I were out for a walk this evening with our dog. As we were walking near the intersection of Seminole and McPeek a late model white Grand Cherokee sped past us. We continued walking. A few minutes later the same vehicle sped past us on Cheyenne Road. This time we made motions to the vehicle to slow down! The vehicle had just passed us and immediately made a 180 with tires screeching! The driver stopped next to us while we're walking and he was less than kind. We explained that we have a 15 mph speed limit in our community and we lots of people walking, biking, kids playing....we'd hate to see someone get injured because HE was speeding.
If you know this person PLEASE ask them to slow down and respect our homes. Someone will get run over by this speedster!
I have brought this up TIME AFTER TIME at Association meetings, since I first moved here in 2017. And NOTHING has been done. I suggested Speed Bumps. That was shot down because that would be up to the town. I offered to buy, out of my own pocked, the add-on speed bumps that can be bought at Lowes. THAT got shot down. I even took pictures at permanent traffic / speeding indicators used by the towns in the area, and I got crickets. Someone is going to be killed here. We have a surplus of almost $200,000.00, as per the Homeowners Association. Yet this doesn't seem to be a priority.
